Job Description:

Title: Inventory Control Specialist
Reporting To: Warehouse Manager
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Employment Type: Full-Time

General Position Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist ensures the accuracy and integrity of NRC inventory. Enters all incoming product into the inventory system, ensures counts and costs are correct. Routinely spot checks for accuracy and investigates discrepancies. Keeps accurate and complete records.

Position Specific Competencies

Cost incoming inventory according to established practices

Cycle Counts
Assign and or perform cycle counts as needed, investigate and report discrepancies

Ensure all documentation and records are complete and up to date

Remain aware of all incoming shipments of products

Enter into inventory system all information related to incoming products including counts and descriptions as well as information related to adjustments, product kit, conversions and other relevant information. Ensure end-of-year inventory observations run smoothly

Inventory Transfers
Handle inventory transfers between locations within the inventory system as well as proper transfers and rotation of product within the facility

Determine the most appropriate and efficient placement of incoming inventory in the warehouse

Process and Procedure
Work closely with other regional warehouse to ensure processes and procedures remain consistent between facilities

Purchase Orders
Notify staff when purchase orders are processed purchase orders with value, noting discrepancies

Contribute to a safe and clean work environment

Spot Check
Spot check accuracy of inbound counts and outbound shipments

Other duties as required.

Experience Requirements

  • 3 Warehouse work experience
  • 5 years of inventory management experience

High School Diploma Or equivalent
